14U Hurricanes went 2-1 this past Sunday at the Macomb Community College Softball Winter Blast Fundraiser.
Top performers from the day:
Olivia “Tank” Finnie
Hit .600 at the plate, with 3BB, a double, and a grand slam HR; tank also was busy behind the plate, helping her pitchers work through some solid lineups, as well as throwing out two would-be stealers on the bases and picking off another at 1B.
Kate Paulowicz
Hit .429 on the day with a double while also getting it done on the mound going 4 innings giving up ZERO runs on 2 hits, with 10 K’s
Olivia “Putty” Putman
Hit .500 at the plate for the day
Sydney Arnold
She pitched 4 innings in the final game with 3 K’s and NO WALKS. (She also launched an absolute missile during an AB that took out a light fixture, but it was only a foul ball, thanks to the quirkiness of playing indoors)
