Hurricanes Fastpitch is organized under the Dexter Diamond Group, a Michigan-registered non-profit organization (the nonprofit number is 88-2726573) incorporated in June 2022 and located in Dexter, Michigan. This organization was created to promote and run a well-organized youth sports program. Our coaches are given administrative support so they can focus on player development and building competitive teams. We prioritize skill growth through productive practices and positive experiences for our athletes.

There are quite a few benefits to having a well-organized group of teams; sharing resources, substitute opportunities for players looking to occasionally “play up,” and coaches seeking advice from other coaches, just to name a few. Team building between players and creating connections between parents of the same team is also important. We seek to create opportunities for girls across various teams and age groups to form friendships, and for our young girls to look up to our more experienced players as mentors. Fielding, training, and developing increasingly competitive teams is our focus, but we want the whole experience of Hurricanes Fastpitch to be positive on and off the field for players, coaches, and families.
